Oggy and the Cockroaches Wiki

Jack is Oggy's cousin and sidekick, and the deuteragonist of the series. In the Hindi dub, Jack is depicted as the older brother of Oggy.

Personality[]

Jack can be described as the opposite of Oggy. He is quick-tempered, impatient, focused, self-important, sometimes lazy, and a mechanic. He is focused on getting rid of the Cockroaches or doing something selfish. Jack often builds something to try and destroy the Cockroaches, or any other insect that roams Oggy's house, and while he has had some success, most of his plans backfire. He sometimes bullies Oggy, either moving him when he is in front of the television, trying to beat Oggy in a race, or going insane. He may be the easiest target in the show, mainly because his rage gets him too unfocused on either getting rid of the Cockroaches.

However, at times, Jack can show his nicer side when he's not focused on stopping the Cockroaches or acting villainous. He tends to play the "straight-man" to Oggy and the roaches's antics.

Appearance[]

He is an olive-green cat with a pink tummy, yellow eyes in several episodes, white paws, yellow freckles, a sharp tail, and hair coming out of his ears.

Vehicles[]

Jack owns an orange van that is mostly used in the episode Drone Out of Control!, he also owns a yellow safari jeep that is mostly used in Life's a Zoo. Throughout the series, he mainly has a small green monster truck-looking jeep with flame paint jobs. Additionally, he had a Ferrari in The Pumpkin that Pretended to be a Ferrari.

Weaknesses[]

Relationships[]

Oggy[]

Jack tends to be Oggy's partner in many episodes. He almost always helps Oggy when he is in trouble, whether it is from the cockroaches, or getting stranded in space. Jack can be protective of Oggy, as shown in the episodes Flower-Power and The Rise and the Fall. However, at times Jack's ego can get the better of him, and will sometimes antagonize Oggy, this usually ends with Oggy making peace with the cockroaches to stop Jack and give him what he deserves. Official profiles state that Oggy and Jack are cousins, but this is never directly stated or even implied in canon, as Jack was in a romantic relationship with Oggy's twin sister, Monica.

Joey, Marky and Dee Dee[]

Jack hates the cockroaches just as much as Oggy does, possibly even more. Unlike Oggy, Jack does not tend to have positive moments with the cockroaches; he always goes after them, even if they did not do anything wrong; this is most notable in the episode Mayday! Mayday!, where, after overcoming his sea sickness, he immediately crushes Joey and Marky, despite them doing nothing wrong. However, this might be due to the cockroaches pulling off pranks that are often more painful and torturous than the ones Oggy usually receives. Nevertheless, in some occasions, such as in the episodes For Real! and Little Tom Oggy, Jack befriends the cockroaches to try to find Oggy, since he's supposedly lost.

Olivia[]

Despite both of them being the main characters of the show, they do not interact as often, though their relationship seems to be positive in most episodes. However, they have interacted with each other in the season three episode Formula 1 (Remake only).

Bob[]

Jack and Bob's relationship varies. Most of the time, Bob is annoyed by Jack and beats him up constantly. However, at times, they act like friends, most notably in Season 4.

Monica[]

Monica is Jack's love interest shown throughout Season 2. While they do love each other, Jack has immense trouble in expressing his love, mainly due to the Cockroaches' antics. Their relationship is far from perfect; as shown in the episode Sitcom, they tend to argue a lot. Their relationship seemingly ends in the episode Sky Diving; Jack had enough of her daredevil personality and swallows her wedding ring, signifying that he no longer wants to be married to her.
