Rock Bottom is the 38th episode of Season 5, and the 309th episode overall, It takes place during the 20th Century Explorations.

Plot[]

Episode starts: This time, Oggy and his friends are joining Jacques Cousteau on his expeditions deep down in the sea. A research vessel is out on the ocean with Oggy and Olivia saluting to Cousteau in the submersible. Not laying into proposal, Oggy leaves the ring box next to Olivia while cleaning the deck, as the cockroaches want that for himself, as per usual. Joey successfully steals it, and a chase is ensued, sending the ring overboard after a soapy slip on the deck.

Oggy goes out to find the ring via diving, with the cockroaches following behind via Cousteau's submersible when he's going out to find a six-eyed jellyfish, hijacking it. They follow down a deep hole, where a muscular puffer fish beats them up inside the cabin. When Oggy finds the ring, he gets squashed by a robotic hand and taken to a fish hole. But upon grabbing it via game controller, Cousteau also has while being tied up, and a fight is ensued like Master Hand via Cousteau, and Crazy Hand via the cockroaches.

Annoyed, Joey takes away the other controller, and takes the ring, trapping Oggy. They leave the ring to Oggy when they set on another prize: Oyster Nacre Pearls. Not long after their double prize reward, the six-eyed jellyfish arrives with Cousteau in shock, that if he captures it, he can get rich. In an unfortunate matter, Joey talks back that only the pearls can get him rich. With Oggy being subdued by the jellyfish, he gets digested, and inflated from the inside, sending it out of the abyss, chasing the cockroaches.

Upon reaching the surface, the jellyfish deflates, spilling all the oyster pearls, with Oggy and the submersible returned to the ship. Olivia gets proposed; Cousteau finally got the six-eyed jellyfish, and the cockroaches admit their defeat when they lost the oyster pearls. In the museum, as the episode ends, Oggy and Olivia visit the captured jellyfish, with the cockroaches stuck inside it!

Trivia[]

The videogame layout of Cousteau and Joey's fistfight is quite reminiscent of the fighting game, Street Fighter.
The jellyfish-like creature that Oggy and Cousteau discovered is classified as a ctenophore, otherwise known as the Comb Jelly.
This is the second episode where Oggy proposes to Olivia; the first episode being Oggy Is Getting Married!.
