In the Glare of the Sun is the thirty-fifth episode of Season 5 and the 304th episode overall. It takes place in the Inca Empire. In Machu Picchu, Joey uses a machine that creates artificial darkness and apparently controls the sun god. He becomes the leader of the village - a true tyrant. Can Oggy trick the cockroaches and push Joey off the throne?
Plot[]
Episode starts: Many citizens (Including Oggy, Olivia and Jack) of the Inca civilization offer fruits and vegetables to Bob the king. The sun was covered with clouds and then disappeared. Joey with Dee Dee and Marky plan of being a king by covering the sun with an artificial moon and move it away so that he'll be the new king. The citizens looked up and they all screamed ( Including Bob, Oggy, Olivia and Jack) as the moon hides the sun, then Joey plays the trumpet and the eclipse disappears and the hen (chief minister) says that Joey is the new king so Bob gives his crown to Joey and he feels humiliated with Jack as both should offer wind to lord Joey. Joey asks both to stop and asked Oggy to offer something so Oggy offers a peanut (groundnut in Indian version). The citizens try to caution Oggy about the punishment but the latter doesn't mind so Joey plays the flute. First attempt failed as the other two cockroaches were sleeping but second attempt was successful but no citizen knows that it's an artificial moon covering the sun. Oggy the detective discovers that it's an artificial moon as he sees Dee Dee and Marky repairing the artificial moon. The C.M hen declares Joey as the king but Oggy swats him and the sun is covered with the artificial moon. Oggy tries to play but Bob beats Oggy and plays the trumpet. Bob is the new king but Jack seizes the trumpet and tries to claim himself as a king by playing the trumpet but Olivia seizes the trumpet and replies The Inca empire's king would be replaced with a queen and a queen must be needed to rule the empire. with a plan that she'll make everyone her slaves. Olivia plays he trumpet and the C.M hen declares Olivia as the new queen. This causes a fight between Jack, Bob, Oggy and Olivia by playing the trumpet. The C.M hen is tired of declaring the king/queen and leaves for a holiday. Marky and Dee Dee have controlled the artificial eclipse machine and the parts wear out that the fake moon falls on them. Bob sees the fake moon and beats up Joey and regained his kingship. Joey plays a party whistle and the fake solar eclipse occurred but this time with a full moon-shaped balloon. Oggy goes again and stamps the two cockroaches leading the balloon to burn in lava. Bob again beats up Joey for betraying everyone. Another time, Joey plays a drum and a night vision board controlled by Dee Dee and Marky has covered the sun. Oggy kicks the board that breaks the temple into halves and Bob attempts to crush Joey. Oggy claims that he the detective caught hold of the cockroaches by proving that a moon doesn't appear by playing musical instruments and he claps. A moon appears when he claps making Oggy think that the cockroaches did cheating but he sees them near to him and from the space reveals a real moon. Oggy claps and the real solar eclipse disappears. The citizen worship and call Oggy as the king. Oggy gets the crown and he sits on the throne. His foot is massaged by Dee Dee and Marky when he gets air from Joey. Citizens offer fruits and vegetables to Oggy and in the last of the queue, Olivia, Jack and Bob who are jealous, plays musical instruments but no eclipse occurs. Episode ends.
