Emperor for a Day is the 44th episode of Season 5, It takes place during the Napoleonic Era of France. During the Napoleonic wars, Oggy cleans the French camp. Napoleon asks Oggy to take his place, so that he can go to a gallant rendezvous. The cockroaches, witnesses of the scene, will do everything to unmask Oggy.
Plot[]
The very first day of the Napoleonic Era. Oggy is placed as janitor of Waterloo Camp, as Napoleon Bonaparte dismisses one of the defected soldiers back to the English Camp of Bob Nelson. He scouts the scenery, only for Bobette to arrive, going back to France in love. Before leaving, he anoints Oggy as Napoleon to be Emperor for one day while Napoleon goes to a picnic date.
Tried as he might, he eventually learns to be a general for command of his soldiers, especially Jack. The cockroaches witness a plan to ruin his rule, by any attempt possible: Standing in one line, leads to taking off the hat. While in lunchtime, using some ugly soup, which is acidic, leads to some fun for his soldiers, while Joey getting melted away by the acid soup. Lastly, is by battle planning, they take away Napoleon's clothing. A chase is ensued, sending themselves in the middle of a picnic between Napoleon and Bobette.
He gets his clothes back, and as Bobette's leaving by Bob's anger, he sends out the English troops to storm the camp, leaving Oggy severely injured, and in the end, admitting his final defeat, crying as his camp is destroyed. Waterloo is definitely the end of the Napoleonic Era.
