Jack and Oggy are fighting over the TV program and so Jack decides to settle the argument with a motorcycle race. Convinced that his big road hog is going to win hands down, Jack, condescending as usual, takes his own sweet time revving up...
Official Synopsis, [1]
Control Freak is the 58th episode of Season 2, and was remade as the forty-eighth episode for Season 6 under the title The Challenge.
Plot[]
Watching a live tennis table game on TV with Oggy, Jack soon becomes bored by it and switches the channel to another one showing a live motorbike race which he enjoys, but not for long as Oggy returns to the channel showing the table tennis game. Unamused, Jack raises up his fist, which a scared Oggy initially interprets as Jack about to punch him until he opens up his fist to reveal a coin on his palm. Jack then tosses the coin in the air, but before it can fall back down, Joey snatches it at the last second and makes off with it, jumping on one of the two cats' eyes in the process.
With the coin stolen, Oggy and Jack get into a brief fight over the remote until the channel is switched to the motorbike race again. Seeing this, Jack gets an idea and shows Oggy a challenge drawn on a sketch pad, which is to race in circles around Oggy's house for a total of ten times, and the winner gets full privileges of the remote. Oggy doesn't fully comprehend the challenge, so Jack reiterates it to him, at which point he now understands the challenge and agrees to do it.
Outside, Oggy is seated on a scooter as Jack removes a shawl to reveal a hunky red motorcycle, which the former is surprised and impressed by as the latter hops on and puts on his helmet. With the race about to start, Joey paints a white stripe in the grass and fires a pistol in the air to officially commence the race, being driven into the ground by it in the process. Oggy then starts up his scooter and drives it at a slow pace around the house for the first lap, cheering about it to Jack. However, Jack, who hasn't even started driving his motorbike yet, laughs at this and mocks how pathetically slow Oggy's scooter is, while a group of small animals give their money to Joey to bet for Jack to win. Dee Dee places a single coin next to the stack of cash, actually rooting for Oggy to win along with Marky, but Joey just places a dollar from his wallet on the stack and blows a raspberry, confident that Jack will win.
Jack is now reclining on his motorbike, whistling and waiting for Oggy to finish the first lap when the former eventually returns and repeats the process again. Jack claps for his cousin, and Dee Dee and Marky cheer for him as Oggy's side on the scoreboard goes up to 1, which Joey isn't pleased with. Seeing Jack just doing nothing on his motorbike, Joey walks up to him and tells him to start driving, only to be pushed down and squeezed by Jack's finger. Laughing at Joey telling him what to do, only now does Jack attempt to start up his motorbike, but when he steps on the clutch lever, it springs up and hits his knee with such force that it bends his leg backwards, Jack screams painfully and jumps off his motorbike, clutching his injured leg and hopping around.
With Jack out of action, Joey sees Oggy pass the line on his scooter for the second time, adding another point to his score. Fearing that he will lose all of the bet money in the event Jack loses, Joey gets the idea to sabotage Oggy during the race to help Jack win. Disguised as a patch of grass, Joey sticks a twig in the engine of Oggy's scooter, only to be dragged into it and ground up into tiny logs.
With a lasso in his hands, Joey twirls it in the air and manages to catch Oggy's scooter with it, but is sent being dragged along as a result. As he struggles to keep his balance, Joey eventually gets the hang of it and glides across the grass as if he were water skiing, after which the friction from his feet burn him to a crisp. Oggy then makes a turn around his house, flinging Joey into a "no water skiing" sign which in turn flings him into Jack's empty score, at which point Oggy has now scored six points.
For his final attempt to sabotage Oggy, Joey digs a big hole in the ground and puts a huge picture of a road in front of it, hoping the blue cat will break through it and fall into the hole. However, as Oggy approaches the picture, he actually goes through it and disappears into the horizon as if it were real. Taking off his eyes and shaking them in disbelief, Joey kicks the picture, causing it to tip over on top of him, and Oggy drives over the fallen picture to add insult to injury.
As Dee Dee and Marky cheer for Oggy now that he is one point away from victory, Jack is still grasping his injured leg and hopping when he suddenly sees Oggy driving past him and then Joey begging him to beat Oggy so he can keep the bet money for himself. With his leg now healed, Jack agrees to Joey's wishes and hops back onto his motorbike, but not before squishing him with his thumb. Jack is about to start up the motorbike when he suddenly remembers what happened when he stepped on the clutch lever and instead decides to get it up and running with a key, finally sending it in circles around the house faster than Oggy's scooter. Surprised by Jack's score suddenly going up and fast, Dee Dee and Marky turn to Joey, who just remains confident that Jack will win as he slides the coin on the table around.
With Oggy and Jack's scores now tied at 9, the former is about to approach the line for the final time as Dee Dee and Marky continue to cheer on for him. However, at the last second, Jack drives past the line first, much to Joey's delight, but the ludicrous speed of the motorbike proves to be too much for it as it crashes through the hedge and into Bob's house. As Oggy stops his scooter and looks on, a run-over Bob exits through the resulting hole with Jack and the now-crushed motorcycle in his grasp and, instead of giving the cats a usual pummeling, simply tuts in disappointment.
Triumphant over the fact that Jack "won" after all, Joey asks for Dee Dee and Marky's coins, to which they begrudgingly agree. As Joey blows a raspberry at the two, however, one of the animals from earlier taps him on the shoulder and asks for their money back along with the others. Joey refuses out of greed, and is promptly given a beating by the animals which propels the coins into Dee Dee and Marky's faces. Tossing away the coins, Dee Dee and Marky then proceed to retaliate by pummeling the animals.
Back inside, Oggy has now won full remote privileges as he switches the channel back to the table tennis game, while Jack, still stuck in his damaged motorcycle, practices good sportsmanship by congratulating Oggy with an OK gesture.
